Joining the Board has always been a goal of mine from the time I joined, but I just didn't think it would come so soon--and I am thrilled! A huge thanks to Kelly Szoke for the nomination and recommendation. I couldn’t be more excited to learn more about this fantastic industry, and also help pave the way for those who follow in our steps. Also, a huge thanks to Jenny James and Annette McClure for your never-ending support! Give one piece of advice/ encouragement to non-members on why they should join ISES Columbus- or an unexpected benefit to being a member Through ISES, I have been exposed to so many different event professionals in the industry. Not only have I made friends, but I have made a career for myself. When I was a student member, I was eager and excited to learn about the industry and about the amazing professionals who help contribute to our city's unique culture through special events. The biggest benefit to ISES is as black & white as the wording on my Resume: Every job I have earned in the Special Event industry has been through ISES networking.
